I need a partner – v2

Someone has been missing
in my journey in life to this moment
I have not had a partner,
a lover, a wife, fully
one who is my champion,
in my dreams, my goals in life…
 
I have walked beside them
I have said that I love them
I have held them close to me;
but I have not shared my dreams
my hope for a future together
with one who understands me…
 
I need a real partner, a soulmate,
a companion on my journey
in this season in my life,
one who can help me to flourish
I am lost when I feel alone
I am fearful in submission…
 
I long to walk boldly
To not fear rejection, failure,
into my calling, my purpose,
but I need someone beside me
more than a suitable helper,
a partner on my walk…
