by grace, through faith

different paths to this moment
many people, two flocks,
united in our failures,
struggles of the flesh,
our sins against God…
 
by grace, through faith,
We rise from death
We are brought into the family
We become our body
in the sacrifice of Christ…
 
out of many we are one
through the blood of one Savior
We who were far away,
like the prodigal, the son,
we are welcomed home…
 
by grace, through faith
We gain the inheritance
the promise of God
to our father Abraham,
who believed by faith…
 
different paths to this moment
We are all saved by grace
not by works that we may boast
but through our faith in Christ
our risen Savior and Lord…
