soften my heart

soften my heart, lift these burdens,
help me to repair the breach I have caused
help me to live into Your promise
help me to love with the love of God…
 
Lord, give me courage to do what is right
to confess, to apologize, to make amends
help me to heal the breach I created
help me to live peaceably with all men…
 
teach me, my Father,
what is appropriate, needed,
to recognize the sin I caused
help to know the right thing to do…
 
soften my heart, conform my steps
lead me in Your righteousness
turning from my fear, my flesh,
help me to live peaceably with all men…
