naming the stones
the nails that Christ carried
our sin, our pain, our shame,
that Christ bore to the cross...
 
owning the weight
the sin Christ carried
peeling back the skin
under scar tissue...
 
emptying ourselves
of the pain Christ carried
letting go of the weight
of our guilt and shame...
 
moving forward with Christ
leaving our sin on the altar
nailed to the cross...
carried no more...
