I am not
fully Christ-like
when I am
the most certain
not seeing
the shades of gray
only in
black and white
I am not fully
Christ-like
when I hate
my neighbor
when I
gossip about them
snickering behind
their back
I am not fully
Christ-like
when I judge
the sinner
all of us are
fallen
well short
of God’s Law
I am not fully
Christ-like
when I find
another unworthy;
they could just
as easily ask,
“who died
and made you God?”.
