Guard your tongue,
be careful with your words,
listen intently,
for the Word of God…

Approach Him in reverence,
walk humbly before Him,
for He is God,
and we are His creation…

Speak less,
listen more deeply,
honor God,
in all that you say and do…

Guard your heart,
your innermost being,
be authentic, faithful,
living worship to God…

Each day a new page,
a new chapter to be written,
by our choices, our steps,
out in this world…

Each day, one chapter ending,
a new one beginning, dawning,
seeing our life as a journey,
steps on that road…

Joy, if we make it, if we choose it,
in our steps going forward,
seeing possibilities, opportunity,
out in this world…

God will make a way,

miracles will happen,

Making Our Tents – v6

Out in the world,
in our work, in our living,
witnessing now, to them,
to all those we meet…

While making our tents,
preaching the Word,
sharing the love of Jesus,
until all have heard…

Starting with our neighbors
then out into the world,
in our work, our lives,
our living, day to day…

Faithful, committed,
to our Master’s teaching,
common people sharing,
God’s love for all of us…

Witnessing fully,
in our work, our living,
sharing eternity,
with all we do…

While making our tents,
preaching the Word,
sharing the love of Jesus,
until all have heard…

Ministry in our work

#Healing #Rain – v3

Faith in this moment,
of toil, of struggle,
rising from the depths,
falling from heaven
to cleanse the whole earth…

Healing rain falling,
washing over the earth,
our joy welling up,
falling, rising,
in love, in return…

Love of the Father,
seated in heaven,
of our risen, Lord Jesus,
the Spirit indwelling,
guiding our steps…

Healing rain falling,
washing our sin, our fear,
cleansing our brokenness,
renewing our spirits,
our bodies from within…

A lost opportunity

I know deep within me,
I lost an opportunity,
A moment of time painful,
When I was too afraid, too timid,
When I lost a moment,
An inflection point in life,
Never to return…

He made an offer, open,
One that I could not comprehend,
How it would all work out,
I was ambivalent, uncertain,
And he was at that moment driven,
He had no time to wait, impatient,
For my fear to be abated.

to determine which might good
enough to be published.
I never pursued it.
I actually tried to talk with them
as they walked to their car…

Take time to really listen,
to talk with God, this moment,
be open to His abundance,
to God’s blessing today.

Open your heart,
your spirit to God’s calling,
cleave to the Savior,
who knows what you need.

Breathe prayer, witness,
conforming to the Spirit,
adopt a servant’s heart,
take up your cross daily…

opportunities for praise - v2

within our prayers, our struggle,
our wandering in the darkness,
in the toils, the snares,
of our daily lives,
opportunities for praise,
for joy, for worship,
raised up to heaven,
to God’s listening ear…

within our prayers, our witness,
our confession of God’s presence,
in the midst of our journey,
a message of hope, compassion,
opportunities for prayer,
for love, for faith, certainty,
of God’s presence with us,
in all of our days…
