God’s Spirit calls out to us

out of control, double-minded,
serving the flesh and God
never choosing, never turning,
flailing in this life…
 
torn apart, asunder,
straying from the path
deep within our struggle
God’s Spirit calls out to us…

turn, return to God
begin to conform your steps
a daily process, a choice
to walk with Jesus Christ…

heed Peter’s warning
in the way of righteousness
walk in the light, determined,
to fulfill your calling from God…
