the cost of surrender
so great we imagine
we have so much
we think about, we carry,
so many lies that get in the way…
 
the cost of surrender
of stopping, of turning,
a nothing, truly, honest,
walking forward boldly
onto the path of God…
 
the cost of surrender
our will, our control,
forgiveness on the journey
the steps on the path
that leads us to God…
