You remind me of Your presence,
Your hand upon my life…
You have always been with me.
You watch over me, oh God,
You save me from death,
You have given me light…
 
You have never left me,
You will never forsake me,
You have walked beside me,
You have protected me from myself,
You have saved my life,
You have given me purpose,
You have called me to Yourself…

Jesus had to become human
to be our priest, our sacrifice,
to be our perfect propitiation,
our ransom of death…
 
Christ descended from heaven
to raise us up with Him,
He entered time from eternity,
He came to set us free…
 
Jesus had to become human
so He chose to be emptied,
God became flesh
so we could go home…

Christ descended as a mortal
He entered our struggles
He donned human flesh
and dwelt among us…
 
Christ knows our trails
He knows the burdens we carry
He lived as a man
before the Spirit descended…
 
Christ was anointed, called,
He was commissioned in the Jordan
He was washed in power
God spoke a word upon Him…
 
Christ entered time
He was crucified for us
He ascended into heaven
to make a way for us…
 
Christ is seated on high
He rules beside the Father
He will come again
to bring us home to Him…

Because of the gift of Christ
His donning of human flesh
His choice to sacrifice
to accept the wrath of God,
our time is not limited
by our earthly flesh,
our days here on earth,
We are redeemed by Jesus,
We live eternally now…
 
Our time is not limited,
the calendar does not bind us,
We do not have to fear an ending,
God has promised us Paradise,
a life that is already eternal,
We have been joined with Christ,
with His present resurrection,
not bound by time, by our flesh,
We live eternally now…

What do we fear losing
If we surrender to God,
If we confess all our sins
and we turned around,
repenting of our Steps,
returning to our God…
 
What do we fear losing
Is it so much, really?
the chaos, the terror,
wreckage we have wrought,
When God has offered
salvation, joy in this life…
 
What do we fear losing
holding onto what we know,
the pain, the sorrow,
that pierces our souls.
Christ died to save us,
God has forgiven our sin…

our sin, our old habits
that cause us to die within…
 
What do we hold onto
When God offers us more,
Why do we fear changing
to giving up our control…
 
We hold onto what we know,
We do not step out in faith,
squandering our present,
our future, our hopes…
 
What do we hold onto,
sorrow, such pain,
convicted yet risen,
When Christ saved us,
He raised us from the grave…
