Eternal God donned human flesh

A thought too immense,
beyond my comprehension,
eternal God donned human flesh
descended to the manger,
born of Mary, of the virgin…
 
the immortal stepped into time
like us of mortal clay,
eternity became human,
to suffer and die, to ascend,
for us to soar to heaven…
 
giving us Christ Jesus,
God’s greatest gift ever,
God with us in the manger,
the Babe who was born of Mary,
the Man who climbed our cross…
