Love climbed the table, the altar – v2

Love climbed the table, the altar,
Christ climbed the cross
for the least, the last, the lost,
for each one of us…
 
Love laid down on the altar, the cross,
obedient to our heavenly Father;
Christ became Isaac, the Lamb,
Christ became our Sacrifice…
 
Christ, the unblemished Lamb,
was given freely for each one of us;
Jesus offered us eternal life,
when He climbed our cross…
 
Love climbed the table,
Christ laid down on the altar;
Christ climbed the cross
and breathed His last breath…
