a whisper of the devil – v4

not just a gust of wind
the breath over the water
a whisper of the devil
a sound of this world
breaking his concentration
entering into his consciousness
beginning to sink

a whisper of the devil
causing him to question
doubting his own senses
the truth before him
that he was walking on water
listening to the whisper
causing him to sink.
