capillaries of dirt – v3

an exposed network
a distribution system
like an ant colony
under a rock, the dust

invisible blood vessels
pathways hidden in plain sight
nothing revealed, evident,
before the rains came again

capillaries of dirt, of dust
of convenience, forming,
droplets coming together
becoming a river, flowing

pushed from the center
pulled to the margin
droplets coming together
becoming a river, flowing

the pathway etched
a canyon remaining
droplets coming together
becoming a river, flowing
