We all need something
to feel safe and secure

Imagine you don’t
feel safe and secure,
where
might you be?
(these
were the children’s answers…)
o New York City after September 11, 2001
o in Boston after the bombing at the 2013 marathon
o at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012
o etc. (too easily rattled off)
-
There is no
security in this world.
-
BUT, there is one
place we can feel safe and secure
o Having Jesus in your life.
-
No guarantees
that bad things won’t happen
-
BUT,
o Jesus is always with you
o God keeps His promises
o like in Jeremiah 29:11 – God has great plans for us
-
We are to share
this Good News,
-
this message that
Jesus is with us
-
this one kind of
security we have.
-
-
Pastor Challenge –
o Share this message with at least 1 person this week
o It could change their lives.
o Never stop sharing the “security blanket of Jesus”
o We will check in next week on how it went.
