we thank You Lord
for this Advent season
for these days numbered
before we stop to celebrate
the birthday of our Savior,
the Risen Jesus Christ
we thank You Lord
for the light burning
brighter
two candles in the circle
that we lit this morning
a reminder of our hope, and
peace
Your call to bring light
into the darkness
we thank You Lord
for the message we will
receive
from one of the voices of
Advent
one of those who was there,
Mary,
our Savior’s teenage mother
we thank You Lord
for what You have given us
in the Babe in the manger
and the Man on the cross,
and we give You a token of
what You have given;
and we pray you Use these
gifts
for Your glory here on earth
