Mary sang with joy
God’s blessings upon her
the weight of submission
lifted from her, joy,
the words of Elizabeth
her cousin, the baby leaping,
speaking a blessing to her
Mary sang with joy
offering praises to God
willingly accepting His calling
to bear her burden
joy overflowing
breaking into song
singing God her praises
out of her joyful heart
