alone on Golgotha

for those six hours
in some ways, she was
almost more alone than Jesus
she couldn’t understand
all of the heavenly plan
she was alone on Golgotha
standing at the cross
in her pain in her sorrow
a sword piercing her soul
for her, her son dying
become our sacrifice
