In the early morning dew-light
the stealth of her design
the intricate lattice
the lines and connections
revealed, exposed. Ribbons
concentric ovals, each connected,
rays, lines radiating outward
all of her artistry, visible,
a fleeting display
Before the warming
bleeding away of the fog
dewdrops into vapor
Her trap, her net, fading,
hidden once more
ready for her prey
her breakfast, hidden,
just beyond, outside,
our bathroom window
