The Stealth of Her Design – v7

In the faint early-morning dew-light
the stealth of her design
the lines and connections
the intricate lattice illumined
revealed, exposed.
Ribbons, threads, whirls,
concentric ovals, tangents
covered in the whisper of the dew
each connected, a pattern,
rays, lines radiating outward;
All of her artistry, visible,
in a fleeting display.
Before the warming
the bleeding away of the fog
dewdrops into vapor, waking day;
Her trap, her net, fading,
hidden once more in the daylight
ready for her prey
her breakfast, her trap hidden,
just beyond, outside,
our bathroom window.
