be compassionate and humble – v2

be compassionate and humble,
keep your tongue from every evil,
your lips from deceitful speech,
let love guide you, lead you
in every word, every thought,
in every action you take in life…

for you were called for a purpose,
you are a witness, a vessel,
to be love, to walk in light,
the Spirit was breathed within you,
to carry the message of Jesus,
the light to save the world…

let God’s love heal you, guide you,
on your journey, on your path,
shun evil, the world, the flesh,
be compassionate and humble,
seeking the best for everyone,
in every moment of your life…

and your lips from deceitful speech,

you are a witness, an empty vessel,
to be love, to walk in light,
to carry the message of Jesus,
the light to save the world…

keep your tongue from all evil
and your lips from deceitful speech,
let God’s love heal you, guide you,
on your journey, on your path,
in every moment of your life…

for you are not where you are
by accident, by some mistake,
you are called for a purpose,
to shine the light of Jesus Christ,
in this time, in this place…

Love one another,
repay evil with blessing,
Be compassionate, humble,

Share God’s abundance,
shun evil thoughts,
Live into the promise,
the love of Almighty God…

Love one another,
be a beacon of light,
Live into your calling,
your purpose for God…

Live a life of mercy,
walking humbly with God,
Shine your light brightly,
on the journey, in your walk…

Rid yourself of evil,
every thought, every action,
Turn away from the flesh,
its desires, its earthly passions…

Set your sights on God,
on life in our risen Lord Jesus,
Conform your steps to your calling,
to the eternal ways of heaven…

Rid yourself from evil,
turn from it completely,
Set your sights on Christ,
the perfecter of our faith…

Set yourself on God,
free yourself from bondage,
Walk into your calling, your purpose,
follow where the Spirit leads…

Listen to the power of these words – v2

Listen to the power of these words,
Burdens that are forced upon them
Horror, the terror they face, still,
Words that they are sharing now,
Crying for greater assistance, to overcome
Unmet needs, restrictions on their actions,
Needing to prioritize, to make concessions,
Failing to meet the challenges they face…

Look at their eyes, watch their faces, the words,
Weight that is forced upon them, burdens,
Listen to the despair, the longing, the searching,
For right words, arguments, to change the paradigm,
To move the heart of the world, partners, allies,
For them to act fully, for them to release conditions,
Restrictions that have left them vulnerable,
Even when they could stop the terror, the genocide…

I see eyes that will smile again,
where joy will be resurgent,
life will emerge in the simplest things,
a sense of calm and peace will bloom…

This is my prayer, my friend,
from my spirit, my heart,
that you would again feel joy,
that this weight would be removed…

You all have struggled, valiantly,
you have fought evil for too long,
but God has walked with you,
His Spirit will lift you up…

Yes, your eyes will smile again,
seeing life in all its fullness, beauty,
simple joys will wash over you, again,
your spirit will be renewed…

Beyond our imagination,
our vision, our sight,
the life God has created,
prepared for us in paradise…

We conjure ancient words,
reading our bibles, living water,
but we have no idea, really,
of what God has prepared for us…

Beyond our imagination,
the streets of gold in heaven above,
the angel chorus, the throne room
all that God has prepared for us…

But embracing joy right now,

Falling on a sovereign land,
While the world watches, silent,
Letting them go it alone,
A nation emulating Tank Man,
Defiant, standing resolute,
Against the forces of evil, or terror,
While darkness stalks the street…

We send ripples of energy through the universe,
We can manifest a brighter future, a more just world…

We have immense power, our voices matter,
no matter what others may say to defeat us,
We can lift up one another, sharing,
our lives, our calling, our purpose,
offering love to one another, along the way…

We can manifest a brighter future, a more just world,
we send ripples of energy through the universe,
We are more than our position, our station,
our voices have power, meaning, importance,

A just peace must rise
after the crucible of terror
victory is only the first step
the entry into a new age…

A just peace must rise
to be safe within our spirits,
peace that passes understanding,
a just peace that will last…

A just peace must rise
from the terror, the carnage,
secure in our bodies, our lands,
safe from a new attack…

A just peace must rise
for there to be security,
the stain of war in the past,
never to rise again…

in hope, in despair, in protest,
crying out for the world
to come to their aid, to care…

Listen to the cries of these people,
noble, resolute, courageous,
carrying a heavy burden,
one we would not choose…

Listen to the cries of these people,
For support, for justice, for peace,
Guiding us into a future, a promise,
Hope for the days ahead…

In this moment, this present,
Each second is precious,
Every breath is a manifestation,
Of our joy, God’s presence,
The sustaining of our lives…

Happiness is here,
If we will look up, be joyful,
Cherishing this now, this present,
Not looking behind us, to a future,
But embracing joy right now,
The present a gift from God…

I see eyes that will smile again,
Where joy that will be resurgent,
Life in the simple things,
A sense of calm, at peace…

This is my prayer, my friend,
From my spirit, my heart,
That you would again feel joy,
That this weight would be removed…

You all have struggled, valiantly,
You have fought evil for too long,
But God has walked with you,
His Spirit will lift you up…

Yes, your eyes will smile again,
Seeing life in all its fullness, beauty,
Simple joys will wash over you, again,
Your spirit will be renewed…

Our voices have power, meaning, importance,
we are more than our position, our station,
We send ripples of energy through the universe,
we can manifest a brighter future, a more just world…

We have power, our voices matter,
no matter what others may say,
We can lift up one another, sharing,
our lives, our calling, our purpose,
offering love along the way…

We can manifest a brighter future, a more just world,
we send ripples of energy through the universe,

A just peace must rise
After the crucible of terror
Victory only the first step
Entering a new age…

A just peace must rise
To be safe within our spirits,
A peace that passes understanding,
A just peace that will last…

A just peace must rise
From the terror, the carnage,
Safe in our bodies, our lands,
Safe from a new attack…

For there to be security,
The stain of war in the past,

In a twinkling of an eye, an instant,
Our bodies will be transfigured,
Gravity will not hold us, we will rise,
We will rise with the trumpet blast
Rising to our Savior’s call…

Our bodies will have no mass,
Air will be our brother,
Physics will no longer hold us
Gravity will be a laugh,
As we rise up to heaven…

Joy will wash over us, transcendent,
As we are freed from earthly bodies,
Broken clay, mortal flesh,
Will be transformed, transfigured,
We will become beings of light…

Our flesh will become light, water,
Gravity will no longer hold us,
Air will be our brother,
Rising up to heaven, light beings,
Rising to our Savior’s call…

Gravity will no longer hold us,
Our flesh will become light, water,

The place that has been prepared

A promise of this scripture, our bodies,
Not like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly,
Far more profound, more wonderful,
Our bodies, our lives transformed,
Not from one state to another
But from mortal to immortality
Rising up to the highest heaven
To live in paradise…

To live in paradise,
Rising up to the highest heaven
Transformed from mortal to immortality
Moving from life to life eternal, infinity, alive,
Our bodies, our lives transcendent, illumined,
Becoming, far more profound, more wonderful,
Not like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, human,
But a promise of this scriptures, our bodies in heaven
Alive, living with eternal God…

Keeping our demons at bay – v2

Christ knows all too well
that primal adrenaline rush,
darkness, our carnal nature,
that yearns to steal our bodies,
that speaks in nights of chaos,
poison, our hearts racing in flight…

Keeping our demons at bay
holding onto Christ Jesus,
calling Him in the darkness,
for the Spirit to rise within us
to push the demons out
to have peace within our bodies…

An ancient struggle repeating,
our higher brain ascendent,
reason battling the forces,
deep within, the terror,
the demons, the beast waiting,
to catch us in our weakness…

Keeping our demons at bay,
in the power of Christ Jesus,
cleaving to our Savior,
the Lamb on His throne,
He knows all too well the names,
of each and every demon…

May humanity rise up
to support Ukraine
in its existential fight
to defend itself,
to defeat terror and
genocide raining upon
its people and its nation…

May the carnage end
may the shelling be defeated,
air defenses installed,
to protect these people
this ancient land in Europe,
the skies freed of terror
so a just peace may rise…

May the world not look away,
ay their resolve be supported,
the time for action continues,
more must be done right now
to heal the broken, to raise up
the warriors, the heroes, this people,
to prove they are not alone…

ripples of energy through the universe

Our voices have power, importance, meaning,
we are more than our position, our station,
sending ripples of energy through the universe,
we can manifest a brighter future…

We have power, our voices matter,
no matter what others may say,
lifting up one another, sharing,
offering love along the way…

We can manifest a brighter future,
sending ripples of energy through the universe,
we are more than our position, our station,
our voices have power, importance, meaning...

We have the power to change the world…

We have power, our voices are important,
We must speak our truth, our hope, life,
Even in darkness, when we cannot see light,
When we feel small, inconsequential,
When we feel broken, damaged, insignificant,
We can send ripples through the universe,
Energy, a Butterfly Effect through time…

We have power, our voices are important,
No matter our position, our station,
We must not consider ourselves unworthy,
We can rise up like the rest, together,
A mighty army of truth, of love, of light,
Setting the world back together, confident,
Energy, a Butterfly Effect through time…

Of course, our voices are important,

We will be transformed – v2

We will be transformed
our bodies will be transfigured
We will have life anew
we will rise up to heaven…

We will be raised from the dead,
those living will be changed in a twinkling,
Our flesh will become eternal
as we traverse the sky…

We will be transformed
rising with Christ to heaven,
Our bodies will be renewed
we will don eternal flesh…

Based on #1Corinthians15:51-58
I excitedly ran outside after I took a picture of this poem before I even posted it because I wanted to read it aloud to my sister as she was about to head home, sitting in the car in the driveway. Do you see what this scripture says, we will rise in immortal bodies, transformed from flesh to eternal as we are rising to heaven. How amazing is that. This is a Volume Up poem...
