Listen to the power of these words

Listen to the power of these words,
Weight that is forced upon them
Horror, the terror they face, still,
The words that they are sharing now,
Crying for greater assistance, to overcome
Unmet needs, restrictions on their actions,
Needing to prioritize, to make concessions,
Failing to meet the challenge they face…
 
Look at his eyes, watch his face, the words,
Weight that is forced upon them,
Listen to the despair, the longing, the searching,
For right words, arguments, to change the paradigm,
To move the heart of the world, partners,
For them to act fully, for them to release conditions,
Restrictions that have left them vulnerable,
Even when they could stop the terror…
