the One, the great I Am

bringing all things to life

God is the source of heaven and earth

the Light, the Word made flesh

the Creator of eternity

The angle of the straw – v2

this was important

a bit of gossamer, of whimsy

reclining his bed

seeking strength

a longing for nourishment

to regain control

power over himself

the angle of the straw

to achieve his purpose

a quick intake of liquid

to regain his freedom

his hand on the wheel

seeing demons, evil

alive, stalking

darkness a heavy cloak

shadows that aren’t there

evil in the dark

too many cries

speaking them out loud

not trusting, believing

not wanting to believe

too much hurt, unspoken

falling to the knees

cries to heaven

for light, forgiveness

falling, falling

into the abyss
