Falling like a piece of paper – v3
a
moth startled
by my approach
falling like a
leaf
like
a piece of paper
catching itself, empowered,
again
finding
flight
curled
like a fan-shaped coil
of long pencil shavings
from
bright colored pencils
a manual pencil sharpener
held,
turning, in my hands
soaring
away, higher, higher,
wings rigged, coiled,
tumbling,
falling no longer
rising in the morning sunlight
its wings
alive, aglow, ablaze
curled
like a warm potato chip
fresh from the oil, the kettle,
a
moth striking a pose
on the side
of the building
many days in a row
