become like rice paper - v2

each bloom of the lily
still beautiful, calling,
become like rice paper,
all texture and hew…

dried of moisture
wicked of its essence
a living shell remaining
protecting the kernel within

living, aged, beauty
like old crumpled linen
each trumpet curled inward
hope growing within

become like rice paper,
