Don’t forget your mother

#poem, "Don’t forget your mother", after poem inspired by the poem, "My Friendly #Epistle", by #Taras #Shevchenko #Ukraine #poetry

Today, my mom would have been 89 years old, but she died in January 2020. Someone said the poem I wrote is about my mom. In a way it is that too.

The poem by Taras is about the people of Ukraine forgetting their past glory and turning to Poland and Russia for a false revisionist history.  He was calling them at that time to return to Ukraine's bosom.

God just gave me this to read today when I was already thinking about my mom. An even bigger impact on me than otherwise...

I don't believe in coincidence...
