He was unhappy with their lies
stealing their history, their culture,
claiming benevolence, brotherhood,
when they were the awful oppressors…
History may be written by those who conquer
but there festered within his spirit,
a righteous indignation, justice,
a love for the eternal truth…
So much was taken from them,
their identity, their true history,
putting his noble people in torment,
in subjugation, in bondage…
He was unhappy with their lies,
usurping their glory, their story,
longing for freedom to return,
for his beloved homeland…
