we must fall before God, broken,
our pride, our desires, abandoned,
our pieces on the ground, shattered,
admitting our brokenness
confessing our sin, our sinful nature...
 
we are naked as was Adam,
exposed in the Garden,
our sin ever before us
alone, honest before God...
 
we are condemned by our choices,
every sin is a death sentence,
we are shattered vessels
yet we hold God’s Holy Spirit...
 
we are the image of eternity
the spark of Creation
within us, abiding,
we are saved in our brokenness
confessing our need for grace...
