stealing their history, their culture,
claiming benevolence, brotherhood,
when they were the awful oppressors…
but there festered within his spirit,
a righteous indignation, for justice,
a love for the eternal truth…
their identity, their true history,
putting his noble people in torment,
in subjugation, in bondage…
usurping their glory, their story, ...
He longed for freedom to return,
to his beloved homeland…
