able to quench the fire

to fill the emptiness

the void, the space

the gnawing hunger within us

only you, oh God

can still the doubt within us

can feed the gnawing hunger

can quench our endless thirst

only you, your living water

in listening to God’s message

spend time in prayer

in meditation, in silence
