God walks with us

in our struggles, our trials

in our journey of faith

through the shadowlands, our sorrow

through our pain, our grief.

God smooth the way

making the rough ways straight

God walks right beside us

each day of our journey

on our journey of faith.

We are sentient

feeling beings, human;

we can sense the consequence

of our decision, our choice.

We are given free will

by God the Creator;

we can choose to follow God

or the way of the earth.

Each moment, each action,

a crossroads, a place of decision

choosing whether to turn, to follow

the way God is writing,

or to follow the world,

the easy way, the way of all flesh.

We are at a crossroads,

a place of decision,

each moment, each breath

is our choice.

Do we follow the way

that God is writing

or do we follow the way

of the world, the flesh?

We must choose the path,

at the crossroads, each decision,

for God has given us free will

to determine our own way.
