his heart not his feet – v2

The praise from God
of land, an inheritance,
the affirmation of faith;
his heart not his feet
when he believed

Abraham credited by his belief
the Father of our faith
trusting, believing
going as he was led
but before the going
made right with God

His heart not his feet
not the work of his hands
nothing he did;
only faith, sufficient
his trust, his belief

through Jesus only

Through Jesus only, the Messiah
we have life, and life everlasting,
through Jesus Christ, our Savior;
We are given victory
we enter into life.

We have life in our Savior
in the one who descended
in His ultimate sacrifice;
We are freed by His sacrifice
choosing to take on our sin,
our redeemer, our Lord,
our gate to paradise.

We are called to bear witness
to be His light in the world;
We are not here to judge
to find fault in our neighbors,
but to set His people free.

belief not deeds – v2

God looks into our hearts
what matters to God
not our own efforts
works of our hands;
Our belief alone saves us
not our deeds, our actions.
God’s example with Abram
before he went, before he left,
his faith alone saved him
he was raised from the dead;
Abraham was righteous before God
before his leaving
trusting was enough;
he was saved by believing

not to judge us guilty – v3

Christ came to redeem us
to teach us, to show us
to offer God’s love to us
to save us from death

Not to judge us guilty
that was not why Christ came,
but to save us from our sin
the price we could not pay

Christ became our sacrifice
that we may live with Him
not to judge us guilty
but that we may live

Life in the Father
for we are saved by the Son
healed of our brokenness
raised from the dead

to save the whole world – v3

God’s love enough
in the sacrifice of Christ
why He came in the first place
to give us life

Showing us the Father
the depths of God’s love
come to save the whole world

redeeming us from the pit
from the wages of sin
in Him we are made whole
