Don’t let evil win, triumph,
a nation in rubble, burning;
Don’t give Ukraine to the Madman
it will not be the end of his plan.
 
Evil understands threats,
the card of nuclear Armageddon;
The West cowed once again
the rabid Bear on the march.
 
Destruction of just one nation
is not the end of his mission;
We must stop him now, here,
before he kills again, and again…

One shot away – v2 #MAD #nuclearwar #Russia #Ukraine #NATO

One shot away
that is the caution, the mantra,
the answer every time
from the modern Churchill
the man defending his country
from the horrors of the Madman
that we would be one shot away
from death, from oblivion.
 
One shot away
if we acted in this moment
from the unthinkable, the unimaginable,
from nuclear Armageddon
something the tyrant telegraphed
what they have counted on
their threat alone enough
to cow the whole world.
 
One shot away
life on earth in the balance
from the unthinkable, the unimaginable,
Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD)
a chain upon humanity
in the face of his horrible threat
their oaths of office, national interest,
a line they cannot cross.

The man in the bunker

Isolated from the world
from reality, consequences,
the man in the bunker
out of control.
 
Directing genocide, murder,
repressing his own people
uncaring about the carnage
the brink of nuclear war.
 
The man in the bunker
alone, hiding, distant,
a madman, a pariah,
standing against the world.

One shot away

One shot away
from the unthinkable, the unimaginable,
from nuclear Armageddon
something the tyrant telegraphed
what they have counted on
their threat alone enough
to cow the whole world.
 
One shot away
from the unthinkable, the unimaginable,
Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD)
a chain upon humanity
in the face of his horrible threat
their oaths of office, national interest,
a line they cannot cross.
