I could feel the hand of Cold - v2

I could feel the hand of Cold
the claw of Wind
clutching at me
a presence, menacing
their talons piercing
the denim, my skin.

The bite of Morning
catching me, unexpected,
stepping outside briefly
reminding me that Winter
had not yet loosed its grip.

9/1/19 Baptism at Military Street Baptist Church - Ray and Shyanne

Ruth's post on Facebook:

our statements:

https://www.facebook.com/pastorruthfoss/videos/pcb.10218722569003041/10218722475440702/?type=3&theater

“My baptism today is a completing of the journey I started 15 years ago when I came back to my faith after being away from church for 25 years. I pray this act of falling under the waters will truly be a dying with Christ, a dying to myself and my past, and an outward expression of my dependence on God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit for my life, for my salvation, for every step of my life. I profess Jesus Christ as my risen Lord and Savior, the Master of my life. Amen.”

our baptisms:

My Playlist – v2

I don’t know the words
the songs to choose
I know the feeling
held within me
Amazing Grace,
Pass it on,
Praise God!,
Let me be a Sanctuary
of Your love.
Let me be a blessing
let me be filled
let me be used
poured out in love.

whispering a call – v2

God is there with us
in our dark places
whispering a call
to turn around
to run to Him

Like the Prodigal’s father
God arms are open
wanting us to run
so He may hold us
so we may be safe.

why do the winds catch me

why do the winds catch me
why do I turn at all
the rock I stand on
is the ancient of days
God is forever
all of this is dust
God alone protects me
I am safe in the storms.

Fruit in old age

Following our call
in each season
more to do
as the Spirit calls

Fruit in old age
as surely as in springtime
God will lead us
if we submit to Him

=============
Never Too Old

Strength from the Lord
The calling of our master
new tasks to perform
gifts, fruits to share

Never too old
to begin a new world
God stirring inside of us
changing our lives,
conformed to his will
doing what we are called to do

God will provide
all that we need
trust in his loving hand
there by our side in all of our trials
in him rest when the work is done
