God calls us, each of us – v2

all of us are broken, shattered,
on our own we are unworthy,
all of us with feet of clay,
of the flesh, the dust…
 
but we have a calling,
a purpose in this life,
God calls us, each of us,
To answer that call…
 
we may be young, we may be older,
we may think of ourselves unworthy,
we may feel we are not good enough,
to answer God’s heavenly call…
 
but God has called us,
God knows us fully,
God will equip us,
You are enough…

Fighting Hell – v2

Battling Satan,
forces of evil,
the struggle for us,
life and death…
 
The battle in truth,
is fighting Hell, the Devil,
forces of evil,
in a fallen world…
 
Combatting darkness,
with the love of our Father,
embracing our salvation,
in the risen Christ…
 
Open your eyes,
to the battle raging,
all the forces of evil,
are no match for God…

Face Your Pain – v2

don’t deny, turn away,
from your hurt, your feelings,
controlled by death, by sin,
by the ways of the flesh…
 
open your eyes to the truth,
face your pain, open fully, openly,
bear your very soul,
speaking what you must…
 
speak God’s love,
God’s truth, God’s power,
to heal your brokenness,
to redeem your life…
 
face your pain, your demons,
be brutally honest, open,
pour your heart out
before Almighty God…
 
stand in the gap,
with and for others,
no longer controlled,
by the things of the flesh…

Access deeply – v2

cutting a wound open,
exposed to the light,
peeling the onion
the scab of denial
a scar never healed…
 
access deeply,
the pain we carry,
the pathways created.
the desires of the flesh,
everything within us,
that separates of from God…
 
delve deeper,
remove the pain, the poison,
the stones, the chains we carry,
all the stumbling blocks,
between ourselves and God…
 
access deeply,
be brutally honest,
opening our hearts to healing,
made new in Christ Jesus,
freed of the chains we have carried,
for years, decades…
 
release the demons,
the lies of Satan,
the chains we carry,
breathe the new life,
we have in Christ…
 
access deeply,
the faith within us,
all that within us points to God,
the hope we cleave to,
the victory in Jesus,
the battle already won…

God breathes a prayer
over our doubts,
God speaks a response
to each of your fears…
 
We say, “I am a child,”
God says, “I have called you,”
we say, “I am not worthy”,
God says, “I know you”, …
 
We say, “I am not enough”,
God says, “I will equip you,”
“You are enough, my child”,
“I have called you by name” …
 
We must be bolder,
We must trust more fully,
God will make a way for us,
Through our darkness, our pain…
 
When we say, “Lord, please help me,”
God speaks a response, “I Am”,
for God loves us fully,
and Christ saved us from death…
