hearing their pain
the pain in their eyes
seeing the scars on their wrists
aching for our children, our neighbors
who see no hope before them
nothing for which to be thankful
coming up beside them
in their time of struggle
but mostly praying
knowing we cannot heal them
only you can take the broken
and make them whole again
we raise up their names
aloud, unspoken
those bound by demons
held in these chains
praying you will heal them
make them whole again
