Haunting, warming color,
amethyst glass, showing itself,
out of the dirt at the bottle dump,
Sitting pristine in the corner cabinet
catching the light…
Shade of violet, paling skin, transparent,
translucent, quartz, reminding me
of alabaster, emergent color, shining,
released from the dirt,
glinting in the sun…
