I open my eyes to the present

I open my eyes to the present,
to the path beneath my feet,
this is all we are given,
when we wake from our sleep…
 
Each day is filled with wonders,
Opportunities to lean into,
Each moment is a gift,
Of the divine, from God…
 
Hold onto nothing, no treasure,
Of flesh, of the earth,
Strive, go forward,
In the light of our Lord…
