A nation of dead serfs – v2 #Gogol #DeadSouls

Dead Souls, bereft of identity,
of hope, of humanity, of life,
longing for nothing, empty,
arrogant, believing the lie -
They are extraordinary…
Captive within a culture
claiming they are better
that they can subjugate,
whatever they lust after,
they can take, seize lands
wherever they have stood,
Stalking this earth…
 
A nation of dead serfs, of slaves,
Minions of the madman,
beholden to the poison
to the cancer-indwelling,
Their souls are eaten by the virus,
morally and spiritually bankrupt,
dead serfs listed, captured,
false figures on a ledger
property of a nation-state
A legacy of terror, torment,
Soulless creatures only,
Stalking this earth…
