in the morning light
in the river’s flow
in the courage of each child
seeing God
around us, within us
each of us
every soldier, every citizen
the hope, the steadfastness
of the Lamb, of love,
of God in heaven above…
 
seeing God
in the river
in each face
in each neighbor
worthy of mercy
worthy of love
in bravery and innocence
the face of Jesus
Our Risen Lord and Savior
within each one of us…
