and not be weary

this promise, these words,

of ancient scripture

that we will not be weary

on the journey of faith

sometimes a struggle

in our humanness

to fly and not falter

to run and not be tired

to walk and not be weary

on our journey of faith;

but our hope is in the journey

in the walking yoked to Christ

choosing the path,

the way of the cross

life in that journey

in righteous struggle

choosing the way

where Christ has led.
