A harbinger, a witness
a model for our journey

yet in a sense we were
because of those who followed
who answered the call of Christ
we were not there with them
in person, in the flesh
when Jesus walked the earth

as those born late in time
We are disciples
followers of Christ
yet not there with him
as he walked the earth
as those born late in time
not graced by his presence
yet still called to be witnesses
to share his rich blessings
