Not tied to the earth

Like a butterfly, yet
totally different from the caterpillar
able to take wing and fly
like angels fitted with eagle’s wings
rising that we may soar

No longer tied to the earth
walking alone, this mortal coil
made to rise with Christ
transformed from within
redeemed forevermore

Our hearts change in an instant
when Jesus came in
salvation for each believer
his sheep evermore

Going as he was sent
to the work of God
empowered to spread the word
until everyone has heard.
