Teaching the Children

A sacred trust
the young lives before us
given, needing direction
teaching the children
guiding them
in the way of faith
what is right and wrong
what we believe
the joy we share
the gifts given
God’s grace poured out
resting upon us
ours to teach
especially the children
bringing them up
in the way of the Lord
