They Chained Christ
The servants of evil,
of the leaders, sent from power
the Betrayer leading them to Him
the Messiah at Gethsemane
Though they had bowed down before Him
withdrawn, fallen to the ground at his feet
paying homage to the Christ, Messiah
the Son of the living God
Though He had preached in the Temple
raised no hand in rebellion
they chained Him in the garden
in the cold, the darkness of that night
