Choosing to Become Human – v2

Christ, choosing to become human,
descending as a humble piece of clay,
walking with our brothers, our sisters
the disciples, the saints long before us,
sharing His message, the love of God.
 
Living a life, as we do, mortal,
but offering us a better way
in submission, following the Master,
even to the cross, in obedience,
drinking the cup of His destiny
so that we may find our way
across the gap, the chasms,
our free will keeping us,
from the love of God.
 
Christ made himself mortal,
The King become a Servant,
so we would see the light
our path, through the darkness,
settling into our heavenly home…
