Nicodemus came to Believe

He was a teacher, a seeker,
wanting to know, to understand Jesus,
to see if he was the Christ.
but he did not see, he did not know him,
He failed to believe Christ stood before him…
 
Nicodemus grieved, questioning,
his heart was changing, becoming open,
he advocated for justice, for fairness,
in the path Jesus journeyed, in his trial,
Nicodemus came to believe…
 
At the end not hiding, but acting,
Nicodemus exposing himself,
unafraid of the consequences,
nursing Christ, anointing him,
At his borrowed tomb…
