A
teacher silent, with no answer,
to the truth standing before him,
to these words of the living Christ,
The Messiah standing before him,
The Giver of eternal life, our hope.
Nicodemus
was silent, dumb,
He had no answer, he had no wisdom,
He did not respond to these words of Jesus,
He did not see Him, the One standing before him,
He did not name Him as the One, as the Son, the Christ.
Coming
to Jesus in the night, in secret, for wisdom,
He was a seeker, a teacher, but Nicodemus was silent,
He did not proclaim the coming of the One, the Christ,
Jesus stood before him, imparting divine wisdom,
but he was blind to the Messiah, the Christ.
