Discerning God’s message
from the competing voices we
hear;
Some leading us away,
some drawing us near
to the path of God
to the way of light
Culling the wheat
from the chaff, the tares,
that which should be
burned in the fire;
Gathering in the grain
that we would ever be filled
God’s message for us
Christ’s presence right by
our side
needing to be still
ourselves
that we would hear God’s
voice;
By the Spirit, we are empowered
to go,
to serve, to be agents of
God’s change
God’s love turning the world
around
to heed the Master’s call;
Going where we are sent
doing all we can
to share the message
the truth of God’s love
