In her quiet presence – v2

I am at peace, secure,
in her quiet presence,
working by her side,
knowing all will be done…
 
Her reassuring smile, her spirit,
a calm that dwells within me,
always sure in her efforts,
that everything will get done…
 
I don't have to inquire,
what she is doing, busy,
she moves effortlessly,
sure, every task will be done…
 
I don't understand their jokes,
when they pause at work, gossip,
but she returns before the others,
to work, making sure all will be done…

In her quiet presence

I am at peace, secure,
in her quiet presence,
working by her side,
that all will be done…
 
Her reassuring smile, her spirit,
a calm that dwells in me,
always sure in her efforts,
that all will be done…
 
I don't have to ask,
what she is doing,
she moves effortlessly,
every task will be done…
 
I don't understand their jokes,
when they pause at work,
but she returns before the others,
to work, all will be done…

En su tranquilo presencia
 
Estoy en paz, seguro,
en su tranquilo presencia,
trabajando a su lado,
de que todo se hará…
 
Su sonrisa tranquilizadora, su espíritu,
una tranquilo que mora en mí,
siempre segura en sus esfuerzos,
de que todo se hará…
 
No tengo que preguntar,
qué está haciendo,
se mueve sin esfuerzo,
cada tarea se hará…
 
No entiendo sus bromas,
cuando hacen una pausa en el trabajo,
pero ella regresa antes que los demás,
al trabajo, todo se hará…

Living a life undisciplined – v3

Living a life undisciplined,
inner dialogue shattered,
no self-control, no off switch,
fear in the mixture, unraveled…
 
Too many tabs open, impulsive,
victim of abuse, of bullying,
screaming, pushing back,
passive aggressive, lashing out...
 
Wanting control in the chaos,
noise, order where there is none,
afraid to battle the demons,
to stand on faith, defiant, certain…
 
Focused, not scattered, planning,
with our time, our talents, our treasure,
mapping a way through valleys,
to God, to the mountaintops...
