It was not the
nails, the spikes,
the charges, the
flogging,
the lash, the
crown, the chains
that held Christ
in His Passion;
Love held Jesus
to our cross.
Because of Love,
submission,
Christ chose to
become the Servant,
to drink of the
cup, to suffer,
to climb our
cross,
to choose to die
for all of us.
By Grace, we are
saved
by the infinite
love of our Savior,
by God's
unmerited favor,
Christ's agape
love;
the Lamb gave us
life.
